Biography

Sarah Faux (b. 1986, Boston, MA) lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. She holds an MFA from Yale University, and a joint BA/BFA from Brown University and the Rhode Island School of Design. She has had solo exhibitions at Cuevas Tilleard and Thierry Goldberg Gallery in New York, NY and at Stems Gallery in Brussels, BE. Faux's work has been exhibited in group shows nationally and internationally, including at Fredericks & Freiser (New York, NY), yours, mine & ours (New York, NY), ltd los angeles (Los Angeles, CA), Capsule Shanghai (Shanghai, CN) and Shoot the Lobster (New York, NY). Faux has participated in several residencies including Yaddo, Cuevas Tilleard Projects in Lamu, Kenya and a fellowship at the Ox-bow School of Art. Her paintings have been written about in artcritical, Surface Magazine, Modern Painters, The Wall Street Journal, Interview Magazine, Hyperallergic, and Artsy, among others.
