Mungo Powney was born in 1972. He received a B.A. in Fine Art at Newcastle University in 1994. He has exhibited widely and internationally and his work is in many private collections in the United Kingdom, United States, France, Switzerland, Hong Kong and the Middle East. He travels regularly within Europe and Asia to create his paintings, distilling his work directly from life. Having spent 9 years living in France, he now lives and works in Dorset, England.
